| When making a sculpture, the only tools
I use are pliers and my hands. I also use bolt cutters for the 9
gauge wire. I start with the head, moving rearward, leaving the
mane and tail for last. On custom orders I prefer to work from photographs
of the specific horse to capture its own magic and specific movement.
I do not use an armature or any type of form.
I really enjoy the custom orders. I can make any horse breed, in
any gait. For the ornaments, I have several different colors of
wire. The craft wire comes in black, silver, gold, copper, navy
blue, blue green, green and red. Other colors are available for
an additional cost. I also have glass beads from around the world
in every color imaginable. Also available is a table top “Ornament”
version without a base or hanger.
New for 2007, I plan on making a few larger sculptures suitable
for outdoor display. I will continue to make all the original type
of pieces.
Due to the fluctuating prices of steel and copper and the different
styles of sculpture available, prices are not listed. Please feel
free to email for price quotes.
My studio is in my home. If you have any questions or requests
please call or send me an email. If you email, please put “wire
horses” in the Subject line. |
